When we pay cash for scrap gold and jewelry, prices are based on the purity of the gold content and its weight. The higher the gold content, the higher the value. That is why an item of 10K gold weighing one ounce would be of lesser value that an item of 18K gold. Prices are based on the current market rates. The same standards apply when we buy platinum or sterling silver.

Frequently, gold jewelry will be stamped with an identifier that indicates the purity level of the gold.  Obviously, the purer it is, the more it is worth per pennyweight. Look for these identifiers on your gold jewelry:

• 10 karat gold: Look for 10k or 395 stamping
• 14 karat gold: Look for 14k or 585 stamping
• 18 karat gold: Look for 18k or 750 stamping
• 22 karat gold: Look for. Dental Gold only
• 24 karat gold: Look for 24k or 999 stamping

Please do not send us jewelry that is not stamped, jewelry that is known to be gold-plated, or non-genuine costume jewelry. We can not buy it, and will incur unnecessary shipping charges sending it back to you.
